A well engineered 5in gauge model of an 0-6-0 side tank locomotive built to the design of Simplex by J.T. Allen, 1988 -- 14 x 33¼in (35.5 x 84.5cm)
With braized superheated copper boiler hydraulic tested to 220 psi for a working pressure of 110 psi and with fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, steam brake, injector, whistle, clack and blowdown valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with Walschaert's valve gear, cab controlled draincocks, ratchet operated lubricator, eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, injector, steam operated brake gear, whistle, axle box lubricator boxes and pipework, tank balance pipes and filters and hand feed pump. Finished in CR blue with yellow and red lining, red, black and polished brightwork. Showtrack and wood framed perspex case. Spare superheater tube.
