An 18th century lacquer eight day longcase clock, the domed hood with blind fret frieze, flanked by pilaster columns, the arched brass dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture within urn spandrels, STRIKE/SILENT to the arch, the door to the trunk decorated in the chinoiserie taste, on a plain plinth (distressed) -- 82in.
