the fusee movement signed C.BRUGUIER A GENEVE, numbered 253 and inscribed Charles Bruguier, Rue des Paquis, No.5a Geneve, Suisse, with stack of eight cams controlling the bird movements and song, the bird with coloured plumage and moving wings, neck and bone beak, the silver gilt engine-turned and engraved case with shaped corners, rear key compartment, enamelled top with four floral panels and black and silver strapwork in pale blue ground, the oval flap enamelled inside with flowers and outside with an Alpine landscape --3¾in.(9.7cm.) wide, second quarter, 19th century, with travelling case
