An 18th century lacquer eight day longcase clock, the domed hood with pagoda pediment and columnar uprights to the angles, the arched brass dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, the matted centre with subsiduary seconds ring and date aperture, signed James Field, DUNSTABLE, within urn spandrels, the arch with STRIKE/SILENT ring, the case later re-decorated, with two weights and a pendulum -- 88½in. (224.7cm.) high.
