A late 18th century oak thirty hour longcase clock, the hood with reeded door flanked by fluted column uprights below a shaped cresting with brass eagle finial, the square brass dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring signed John Chalkley, Canterbury, the matted centre within female mask spandrels, the conforming trunk with cross banded door, on a plain stepped plinth, with pendulum and three weights -- 78in. (198.2cm.) high.
