A Japanese gilt-bronze baluster vase on five lappet feet with mythical-dragon handles, decorated in gold and silver hirazogan and takazogan with a panel depicting a dancing figure with a shishi mask below plantain, the reverse with another panel of fruiting branches, all between scrolling panels and stylised insects -- 13¾in. high.
