A large Japanese bronze two-handled koro and domed cover with mythical lion and cub finial on four tapering lion-head feet with coiled dragons, set on a rectangular stand decorated with a ho-o among clouds, the body decorated with a shaped cartouche of a priest holding a model of a Buddha in one hand and lotus-sprays in the other beside an oni, the reverse with birds among peonies issuing from rockwork, all on a liewen ground within mask-head and floral borders -- 36.in.high, sealmark.
