Lot Essay

Item six: Ningirsu was the god for whom Gudea, ruler of Lagash, rebuilt the great temple E-ninnu. Gudea dreamt that Ningirsu appeared before him in the form of the lion-headed Anzu bird, commanding the rebuilding.
