TWO CYPRIOT BASE RING WARE FEMALE FIGURES
LATE BRONZE AGE, 1450-1200 B.C.
Both of Pubic Triangle type, one with flattened body and incised pubic triangle, the pinched head with flat headdress and circular 'button' eyes, slit mouth, with arms curving round under the breasts, traces of painted decoration, legs missing; and another with protruding ears, pinched nose, downward curved slit mouth, circular 'button' eyes, neck-band, necklace, navel and pubic hair triangle, breasts in relief, arms curving down with hands placed on the hips, feet missing, both mounted
3½ in. (9 cm.) and 5¼ in. (13.5 cm.) high respectively (2)
