A CYPRIOT RED POLISHED WARE PLANK FIGURE
EARLY BRONZE AGE, CIRCA 2000-1900 B.C.
Of Shoulder type, the flattened rectangular body tapered, and with narrower neck and head, protruding nose, and arms in relief held diagonally over the chest, incised fingers, below are two diagonal lines terminating in incised dots, drill holes for eyes, slit mouth with vertical line beneath ending in an incised hole, with incised linear decoration including a zigzag headdress, neck-band, hanging necklace and skirt-band, the reverse with hair and a small 'comb' figure, repaired
4 7/8 in. (12.5 cm.) high
