A RARE CYPRIOT HANDMADE WHITE PAINTED WARE PLANK FIGURE
MIDDLE BRONZE AGE, CIRCA 1900-1800 B.C.
Of Shoulder type, with rectangular flattened body gently tapered at the head, the nose, breasts and everted headdress in relief, with protruding rudimentary arms and pierced semicircular ears, incised holes for the eyes and mouth, with traces of red painted decoration including a skirt-band, repaired
5¾ in. (14.8 cm.) high
