A CYPRIOT INCISED RED POLISHED WARE PLANK FIGURE
EARLY BRONZE AGE, CIRCA 2000-1900 B.C.
Of Shoulder type, the large body of flattened rectangular form tapered towards the narrower neck and head, with nose and breasts in relief, the incised eyes surrounded by a semicircle of white dots, with slit mouth, the incised decoration with white infill comprised of horizontal lines, hatching, chevrons and diamond motifs indicating a headdress, neck-band, drapery over the shoulders and a skirt, with two inward-sloping diagonal lines on the front body each terminating in a drilled dot linked by a horizontal bar, repaired
