A Minton majolica chestnut dish
moulded with an open chestnut, the leaves forming a half cover, the rim with a scroll handle, the border moulded with stylised sprays of leaves upon a brown-ground below a shaped rim, with a pale-blue interior and pierced well, on a circular flared foot, indistinct shape number 594, impressed mark, circa 1875 -- 29cm. wide
