An ivory netsuke of Hotei
19th Century
carved seated wearing robes and holding a box, a pen resting behind one of his large earlobes, signed lacquer tablet to base -- 2in. (5cm.) wide; and another ivory netsuke of a seated immortal holding a fan beside a young boy, incised signature to base -- 1¾in. (4.4cm.) wide, (minor wear).
