19th Century
the horned figure carved carrying a large sack over his shoulder kneeling down on the other end, incised signature to base -- 1 7/8in. (4.7cm.) high; and another ivory netsuke of Hotei wearing long robes and cloth hat carrying a large sack over his shoulder, a small rat before him -- 2in. (5.1cm.) high, (minor wear).
