An articulated fan, the silk leaf painted with elegant company and portraits of a lady and gentleman, the reserves decorated with spangles and painted with doves and flowers, the ivory sticks carved pierced and gilt with a hunting scene of a lady riding side saddle, with huntsman with horn and dogs, and a blackamoor page, framed with blue paste, the guardsticks set with articulated scenes operated by levers, one of a lady sitting at her dressing table as a lover springs out from behind the mirror, the other with the lovers kissing as another man spies from the window, the guardsticks also carved with a sportsman with shotgun and a rabbit - 10.5in.
