A GREEK TERRACOTTA FIGURE OF A WOMAN
Hellenistic Period, Circa 3rd Century B.C.
Standing with her weight on her right leg, her left leg bent at the knee and pulled back, wearing a long chiton and a himation draped over her left shoulder and diagonally across her chest, the fabric pulled tight, revealing the form of her body beneath, her head inclined to her left and slightly forward, her hair loosely pulled into a top knot, with long tendrils falling on to her shoulders, preserving extensive polychromy, including blue for the chiton, white for the himation and brown for the hair
