A Continental gilt-metal hexagonal table clock
Probably German. Circa 1700
The case on winged paw feet with hinged door in the base set with a bell, glazed D-ended panels to the sides, the dial with brass Roman and Arabic chapter ring with blued steel beetle and poker hands, the centre engraved with a rustic scene, the associated movement with chain fusee for the going train with re-built verge escapement with later bridgecock engraved O.M. Cedergren Carlskrona, engraved going barrel for the strike on a bell with elaborate foliate pierced and engraved set-up work to the barrel click; movement and case associated
