The case surmounted by a bell top with figural finial, pierced sound frets to the front and sides, with carrying handles to the sides, on foliate scroll feet, the arched dial signed Paul Rimbault/London on the silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, foliate pierced spandrels, the centre depicting a house, an automaton with sailing vessels to the arch, with seperate tune selector on the side, with hour pull repeat and musical pull repeat, the six pillar triple wire fusee movement with verge escapement, playing four tunes on eight bells via sixteen hammers and with hour strike on further bell, the backplate engraved with banded lines and signed in the centre Paul Rimbault/Denmark Street Soho/London, refreshments to the decoration
