Ottoman, Rajab AH 1082/1671-2 AD
Arabic manuscript on paper, 13ll. of black naskh, gold roundels between verses, gold margin between black rules, divisions of text marked marginally in gold naskh, sura headings in white on gold cartouches in illuminated panels, opening bifolio finely illuminated in gold and colours, colophon dated the middle of Rajab AH 1082, green velvet covered binding over maroon morrocco original with gold central medallion, pendants and spandrels stamped with flowering sprays and cloudbands, in rope pattern border (one board exposed), green cloth covered doublures - 28 x 17.3cm.
