An unusual late 18th/early 19th-Century equinoctial compass sundial,
the equinoctial ring with signature WEST LONDON, with sprung gnomon and graduated with hours IIII-XII, I-VIII, the sprung latitude arc graduated for 0-60°, both affixed to the mahogany base with inset compass, with silvered dial, clamp (defective), edge-bar needle and glazed cover, with separate mahogany lid -- 3¼in. (8.3cm.) square
