A late 17th-Century English brass ring dial, unsigned, the inner face engraved with lines of hours and punched numerals 4-12 and 8-1 with the letters S H W for Summer, [?]Half-year, and Winter, the outer surface with Julian monthly calendar scale and decorative engraving, with sliding cursor (immovable) and fixed suspension loop (signs of wear from sea water) -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) diameter
