Of rectangular form, strung overall with ebony and boxwood borders, the cavetto edged cover with brass swing handle, on four ogee bracket feet, the interior with three subsidiary compartments -- 9 7/8in. (25.1cm.) wide; and another George III tea caddy, late 18th century, of rectangular form with canted angles, the cover inset with plume of feathers, the front with fan patera -- 4¾in.
