Mid to late 19th century, signed Lebrun
Each domed cover with cone finial, the fluted neck and socle enriched with gilt bellflowers, painted with either a vignette of Europa and the Bull or Vulcan presenting arms to Venus, the reverse with frolicking putti in a glen or putti forging arrows, respectively, flanked by upright scroll and classical mask handles, suspending tasselled rope, on incurved square base, Doheny Collection no. 38
