Initial spaces with guide-letter. (Tear in 4 leaves with loss, neat repaired tears in 4 other leaves, some light marginal dampstaining.) Modern binding re-using a printed Missal leaf. Provenance: early inscription crossed through -- Beilstein, Carmelites (inscriptions, one dated 1674) -- 'Confluentinus' (?Beckum, ?Koblenz; library ink stamp). Furter printed four works by Pope Gregory I in short succession; they appear to have been available either separately or together. HC *7946; BMC III, 784; Goff G-425.
