Carved overall with rockwork and scrolling foliage, the moulded arched caned back centred by a rockwork catouche flanked by foliage, the arms and supports with cabochon clasps, the waved seat-rail centred by acanthus framed by C-scrolls, with a squab-cushion covered in yellow silk, on foliate cabriole legs and scrolling feet, with paper label inscribed '1196', previously decorated
