A GEORGE III ENAMELLED GOLD BODKIN CASE
probably London, workshop of Morisset, circa 1770
Very slightly tapering étui of oval section with convex ends, engraved all over with diagonally spiralling bands of ribbon-twist on a blue enamelled narrow band alternating with a horizontally reeded engine-turned broad band enamelled in translucent blue on champlevé flowers and trailing foliage
