A mahogany and brass inlaid quarter-chiming bracket clock with skeletonized movement
The movement with pierced-out brass plates displaying the triple chain fusees and three barrels, with pierced caps back and front displaying the springs, anchor escapement, quarter chiming on eight bells via eight hammers with hour strike on a further larger bell, pierced brass chapter ring with white-painted Arabic chapters and similarly painted roundel-pierced hands, the breakarch mahogany case with foliate-cast brass handle to the top, large rectangular glazed sides, the base supported on gilt-brass bracket feet and with decorative brass inlay to the front; movement 19th century, case early 20th century -- 15½ in. (39.5 cm.) high
