Mark of Jean Georges Rémond & Cie, Geneva, circa 1795
Oval, the base and sides with translucent violet enamel over guilloche ground within green, white and gold foliate border, the cover enamelled with the School of Athens after Raphael within a border of split-pearls, the sides with four gold classical urns, marked inside cover and base, the bezel also with later French control marks
