The flask circa 1850
The perfume flask cast with rocaille scrolls, the cover set with a peridot and diamond surround, with diamond pushpiece, the powder box of cartouche-form, converted from a snuff box cover, engraved with foliate scrolls against a white enamel ground, with black enamel border and vacant oval cartouche, the baluster sides engraved with floral scrolls, the base with engine-turned ground, the interior fitted with a mirror and powder sieve, the flask with French standard mark, the powder box apparently unmarked
