A Berlin neoclassical cylindrical teacaddy and cover
Circa 1780, Pressnummer 17 and incised to footrim
Each side painted en grisaille with a named portrait head of CICERO. and DEMOSTHENES. on pink ground oval medallions edged with a gilt line and green berried laurel wreath, the arched shoulders with a gilt band entwined with pink clover, the stepped cover similarly decorated and with knop finial (very minor flakes to gilding on cover)
