A Berlin Royal portrait cylindrical dark-blue ground cabinet-cup, cover and saucer
Circa 1786, underglaze blue sceptre marks, puce painter's I. and incised // to footrims, cup with Pressnummer 5, saucer with 10
The cup painted en grisaille with a named portrait of F·L·KOENIGIN V·PREUSSEN within an oval gilt line medallion entwined with berried laurel beneath a border of gilt buds and foliage, the saucer similarly decorated, the centre painted with a lyre, crown and shield en grisaille, the cover with knop finial (very slight rubbing to knop)
