A Berlin Royal portrait coffee-can and saucer
Circa 1795, underglaze blue sceptre marks and painter's puce 6. mark, Pressnummer 3 to cup and 5 to saucer, incised //// to footrims
The cup painted en grisaille with a named portrait of FRIED·WILHELM KOENIG V·PREUSSEN within an oval panel on a dark-blue gilt-scale ground, the centre of the saucer with trophies on a similar ground (slight flaking to footrim of cup, well and rim of saucer)
