A Berlin Royal cabinet-cup, cover and saucer
Circa 1780, underglaze blue sceptre marks and gilder's 3. to cup and saucer
Of Sèvres form with double entwined loop handle, the cup painted en grisaille with a named portrait of FRED.GUILLAUME. PR.DE.PRUSSE. within a shaped oval gilt cartouche festooned with a garland of laurel and tied below with gilt palms, against a dark-blue gilt-scale ground, the saucer with a trophy including a map of Italy inscribed Hier ist rom within a similar circular cartouche, the domed cover with bud finial (slight scratching to gilding on saucer and rubbing to rim of cup)
