FIVE CYPRIOT BASE RING WARE VESSELS
LATE BRONZE AGE, 1650-1050 B.C.
Comprising a pithos with piriform body tapering to small foot, traces of white painted linear decoration, three loop handles around the shoulder, the short concave neck with everted rim, slight restoration to rim, 4¼ in. (11 cm.) high; a 'poppy-head' juglet with offset neck and flared rim, twin relief bands around the neck at join with handle, on conical foot, with restoration, 5 7/8 in. (14.9 cm.) high; and three bowls each with 'wishbone' handle, the body with central depression tapered to ring foot, short vertical rim, one with repair to foot, 4 to 6½ in. (10.3 to 16.6 cm.) diam.
