TWO CYPRO-MYCENAEAN PITHOI
LATE BRONZE AGE, 1300-1200 B.C.
Each with piriform body tapering to small foot, decorated with brown bands, the shoulder with three loop handles, the short concave neck with everted rim, one with frieze of rays between the handles, repaired with restored handle, the other with double row of tongues, restoration to neck
6¼ in. (15.9 cm.) and 6¾ in. (17.2 cm.) high respectively (2)
