Circa 1740, blue crossed swords mark, gilder's 48. to both
Painted in the manner of J.G. Höroldt, the bowl with a continuous scene with richly dressed Orientals standing, seated at tables and at various pursuits including drinking tea, smoking and eating, on a terrace with a small ornamental fence above an iron-red double concentric circle border, the domed cover similarly decorated with a continuous scene of Orientals about a gilt flowering branch finial with foliage terminals within a gilt border of scrolls and panels of diaper ornament, gilt band rims and footrim
