A pine and bone inlaid 'snuff' shoe
Probably Dutch, 19th Century
Carved as a pair of shoes, with pointed toes inlaid with heart-shaped ivory panels - 9cm. long; A mahogany snuff shoe, with pointed nose and sliding lid - 9cm. long; A boxwood snuff shoe, carved as a clog with a two part lid - 8cm. long; A mahogany snuff shoe with pointed nose and a sliding lid inlaid with a bone lozenge - 8.5cm. long; And an elm shoe shaped pipe implement; 7cm. long (5)
