An elm and ivory 'snuff' shoe
Probably Dutch, 19th Century
The sliding lid pierced with two hearts and a clubs - 11cm. long; An elm snuff shoe, carved as a clog, the lid with an iron loop handle - 8.5cm. long; And a cherrywood snuff shoe carved as an elegant shoe, with a removable lid - 12cm. long (3)
