A GREEK TERRACOTTA FIGURE OF EROS
Hellenistic Period, Circa 3rd Century B.C.
Leaning on a column with his left elbow, the standing winged figure depicted nude but for a mantle draped over his shoulders and hanging at his sides, both arms bent at the elbows and held to his chest, holding an object, perhaps a hare, in his left hand, his head lowered with his hair pulled up into a topknot, preserving traces of original polychromy throughout
