A Meissen Goldchinesen teabowl and saucer
Circa 1725
Decorated at Augsburg in the Seuter workshop, the exterior of the teabowl and the underside of the saucer with applied pink-flowered gilt trailing branches flanked by Oriental figures at various pursuits among shrubs, the saucer with birds on branches and with three Orientals, one holding a parasol within an ogival cartouche on a richly gilt ground (two minute chips to underside rim of saucer and some very slight wear to well of saucer and rim of teabowl)
