A Böttger seated pagoda figure
Circa 1720, traces of smudged lustre 3. (?) to interior
Seated with his right hand resting on his raised right knee, his left leg tucked beneath his right, his mouth and ears pierced, his laughing face, bald head, partly-exposed torso, hands and foot gilt and highly polished, his eyes, eye-brows, teeth and hair behind his ears left white, wearing a loose white garment incised with folds edged in iron-red and with iron-red lobsters and scattered stars (minute chip to footrim, very slight wear to gilding)
