The case with arched top applied with fluted mouldings, volutes to the sides and a brass-lined recessed panel to the front, silk-backed fretwork panel to the rear, with ovolo carved gallery above a base raised on brass ball feet, the white painted Roman dial with strike/silent lever above XII, signed C. HARRIS...Cornhill LONDON (rubbed), with pierced brass hands, the twin wire fusee movement with anchor escapement and shouldered plates, strike on bell, the back plate with pendulum holdfast and leafy sprig engraved border -- 17¼in.
