A George III bracket clock movement in later walnut case
The dial with white enamel Roman and Arabic chapter disc with blued steel hands (minute hand lacking tip), foliate spendrels, signed WILLM, WARD BLOOMSBURY on the white enamel strike/silent disc in the arch with blued steel hand, the five pillar twin wire fusee movement with rack strike on a bell, verge escapement with knife-suspended pendulum with foliate engraved bob, the backcock engraved Willm. Ward, Bloomsbury London, the backplate engraved with a central basket of flowers amongst scrolling foliage, the later case with gabled top, arched glazed sides and flanked by twist columns, on a moulded base and with block feet; the movement circa 1790, the case circa 1880 -- 18in. (45.5cm.) high
