JOHN ROBERT MARSH HANDWRITTEN LETTER AND MARGARET MITCHELL FUNERAL EPHEMERA
1949
A note that John Robert Marsh, Margaret Mitchell's second husband, sent to an acquaintance shorly after his wife's tragic death in 1949. Handwritten in black fountain-pen ink, it reads in full Confidential - I feel that I know you because of our many mutual friends, even though our direct associations have been few. If we should happen to meet, please don't let me fail to know that it's Adrienne Battey. Peggy would attend to this for me if she were here, but now I must depend on my friends. JRM. Also included is a acknowledgement card from the family of John Robert Marsh, two from the family of Margaret Mitchell Marsh, three invitations for the funeral services of MM and two transmittal envelopes addressed to the Karl G. Schaide family of Atlanta.
