STANLEY'S COURT DRESS
A gentleman's black velvet court suit, comprising tailcoat, breeches, waistcoat, bicorn hat and shoes, with cut steel buttons and buckles, with Stanley's initials embroidered inside coat and hat (some tarnishing to buttons, hat and shoes worn).
Stanley's court dress was presumably used on royal occasions, such as his award of the Grand Cross of the Bath in 1899. (5)
