Two later printings of Beckett's existential masterwork, wrapper issues, and a program from the original Berlin production of Godot, FROM THE LIBRARY OF BECKETT'S PROTéGé AND FOUNDER OF THE SAN QUENTIN DRAMA WORKSHOP, THE EX-CONVICT RICK CLUCHEY (born 1933). Cluchey used each of these copies of Godot as a prompt book during the Cluchey-Beckett productions. Cluchey has signed, dated, and elaborately annotated each copy in memory of this historic occasion: "Rick Cluchey, 1st prompt book, Berlin, 1975, Rick Cluchey Samuel Beckett San Quentin Drama Workshop, 1963, 1983 Godot Production Stage Book; and Rick Cluchey 2nd prompt book, London 1984." Cluchey and Beckett collaborated on various projects until Beckett's death in 1989. (3)
