Probably Kairouan, Tunisia, first half 10th century
Sura al-rahman LV, vv. 62-69, manuscript on parchment, 3ll. of fine sepia kufic, red, green and yellow dots marking vocalisation, sepia diagonal dashes marking letter pointing, the end of each verse marked with seven gold dots arranged in a pyramid, recto with large gold illuminated medallion with the word sittun in reserve in kufic, verso with similar small illuminated rounel marking the end of the fifth verse, verso slightly faded, slight staining and chipping of edges
