A Spode dark-blue-ground pot pourri and cover
Circa 1825, iron-red mark and pattern 2418
The body of low bucket-shaped flared form, the shaped gilt rim with knops between gadrooned scrolling lugs, the blue-ground body painted with shaped cartouches of flowers above a moulded bands, on four gilt paw feet, the shallow-domed gilt cover pierced with quatrefoil and circular apertures between lozenge-shaped apertures about a band of white foliage below the gilt flame finial (the cover extensively restored, slight wear to gilding)
