A FINE AND RARE PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE PURPLE-PINK GROUND GU-SHAPED VASES
QIANLONG IRON-RED SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)

Of archaic bronze shape, each vase is finely decorated in bright enamels on the flaring trumpet neck with four of the bajixiang divided by scrolling lotus blooms above the reign mark written in a single line on the narrow cylindrical neck, the central knop section with further lotus scrolls, all supported on the high bell-shaped foot enamelled with the remaining four Buddhist emblems, reserved on a purplish-pink ground lightly incised with feathery scrolls, the interior of the neck and base enamelled with turquoise, and the edges highlighted with gilding
